July 2005 - Addendum to the London Bombings
I have received scores of positive responses to the message I sent out last week regarding the London bombings and I would like to thank all the people who wrote in. It seems that the message touched a tender spot in many of you.
However, I did receive two that objected to the following sentence: “ I grieve too for the American soldiers dead and wounded who agreed to support the lies and deception of a government I helped to create.” I think the objections were justified.
It needs some clarification because it looks like I am saying that they are consciously supporting the lies and deception and are therefore complicit in some kind of conspiracy. It looks like a direct attack on the troops and I don’t want it to be seen that way which is why I am taking the trouble to send this addendum out.
What I should have said is this: I grieve too for the American soldiers dead and wounded who agreed, at the soul level, to support the action arising out of the lies and deception of a government I helped to create.
As many of you know, Radical Forgiveness asks us to see everything as perfect and purposeful in the spiritual sense, including the lies and deceptions of this government. Indeed the whole point of my book, A Radical Incarnation, is to make the case that what is occurring on the world stage at this time is nothing more or less than the unfoldment of an elegant Divine Plan to create heaven-on-earth, and that the loving soul of GWB is possibly a key player. The lies and deception, the war in Iraq and everything that goes with it is all part of that plan. I hope this clarifies my intention.
I apologize for writing this often, but the situation seemed to warrant it. Our intention is not to burden you too frequently but to keep our communications more or less to a bimonthly newsletter. Our regular newsletter will be out in a couple of weeks.
